I am so ready for spring! In fact, I’m downright impatient! I want to plant flowers, herbs and veggies. I want to rake gravel and make twisting paths, stick colorful little bundles into rock crevices.
Sadly, it’s not time yet. At least I don’t think it is. Gardening here is still very far out of my experience or knowledge. If I had the money I would take some course or workshop. Maybe there is a group I could join to talk about these topics.
Anyway…. my gloves are calling to me and my fingers long to wriggle in the soil.

Winter gardening is allowed everyere. You can build the beds, rake gravel, dig in the dirt and so on during the winter. Build a raised bed and do some planting anyway. Surely there are hearty winter plants that could be planted in January. I looked up some gardens on the web and one of the most interresting articles is another blog – a fellow from New Zealand. Here is the link: http://www.bonsai.ie/twenty-winter-garden-tips/.
